Recruitment for Project Posts in the Department of Community Medicine

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment to the following project post on a contract basis for the project entitled βNational Mental Health Survey in India - 2β funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
Eligible candidates fulfilling the criteria may appear with their Curriculum Vitae and testimonials in ORIGINAL, as well as a set of photocopies. Candidates will be selected based on the performance in the interview/written test.
Venue: Block-E, Level-4, GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh.

Positions Available:
1. NMHS Survey Coordinator
No. of Post: 01
Essential Qualification: Master of Public Health / Psychology / Social work / Sociology / Rural development or related areas like Maths, Stats, Economics, etc.
Desirable Experience:
- One year experience in conducting field surveys related to mental health.
- Experience in working in projects/programs at the state level.
- Demonstrated ability to liaison with different and multiple organizations at state/national levels.
- Skills in planning and conducting research/survey-related training programs.
- Fluency in local language and multiple dialects.
- Undertaken health-related field-based data collection.
- Ability to plan, coordinate field-based surveys.
Salary: Consolidated Rs.55,000/- per month; excluding local travel which will be borne separately.
Nature of Work: Extensive travel to survey sites, monitor progress, supervise field activities, and liaison with local coordinators. Administer psychiatric survey instruments.
Maximum Age Limit: 40 years
Duration: Initial appointment for 2 months, extendable up to 12 months based on performance.
2. NMHS Survey Field Data Collector
No. of Post: 07
Essential Qualification: Masters in Psychology / Social work / Sociology / Rural development or related areas.
Desirable Experience: Similar to the coordinator position with emphasis on field data collection.
Salary: Consolidated Rs.45,000/- per month; excluding local travel.
Nature of Work: Similar to the coordinator, with specific roles in data collection and coordination.
Maximum Age Limit: 40 years
Duration: Initial appointment for 2 months, extendable up to 6 months based on performance.

Project involves fieldwork/surveys/conducting interviews in different parts of the country. Only candidates willing to undertake project-related work mostly outside should apply.
