Job Opportunity: Field Investigator for Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society Funded Research Project
The Department of Community Medicine at GMCH-32, Chandigarh, is seeking applications for the position of Field Investigator for the research project titled “To Study the Level of Stigma and Discrimination with respect to HIV in Chandigarh.”
Position Details:
- Title: Field Investigator
- Number of Posts: 5
- Qualification:
- Essential: Graduate in any discipline, preferably in Science. Candidates should preferably be under 30 years of age.
- Desirable: Research experience in field work for at least 2 months.
- Remuneration: Fixed consolidated amount of INR 15,000 per month.
- Tenure: 6 months, purely on a contract basis.

Selection Process:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and work experience.
- Written Test: If the number of applicants is high, a written test may be conducted on 17 June 2024.
- Interview: The interview for the post will be held on 19 June 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Dept of Community Medicine, Block E, Level 4, GMCH, Chandigarh.
Additional Information:
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Candidates must bring hard copies of all certificates emailed by them.
- The competent authority reserves the right to amend, cancel, or make changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or notice.
- The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final, and no representation will be entertained.
- The appointments are purely on a contract basis and do not vest any right to claim regular appointment or permanent absorption in GMCH or continued contractual appointment.
- The contract will automatically expire on completion of six months or earlier in case of withdrawal of support by the funding agency. The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time by either side by giving 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof.
- All disputes will be subjected to the jurisdiction of the Court of Law at UT, Chandigarh.
