Project Title: “Diet and Biomarker Survey in India (DABS-I)”

Project Location: Chandigarh
Duration: 4 months (Temporary Contract Basis)
Travel Requirement: Extensive travel within Chandigarh to conduct the study
Dates of Walk-In Interviews: 12/06/2024 & 13/06/2024
Interview Venue: Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32, Chandigarh.
Application Submission: By hand on the date of the Walk-In-Interview between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
Important Note: Candidates must bring all necessary documents for verification.
Job Positions
1. Jr. Medical Officer(Date of Walk-in Interview: 1 2 / 0 6 / 2 0 2 4)
- Vacancies: 2 (SC-01, EWS-01)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
- Salary: Rs. 60,000 + Rs. 15,000 FDA
- Qualifications:
- Essential: MBBS/AYUSH/BDS degree from a recognized university with respective council registration.
- Desirable: Master’s in Public Health or minimum of one year of experience in field/community studies.
2. SRF (Food and Nutrition) (Date of Walk-in Interview: 1 2 / 0 6 / 2 0 2 4)
- Vacancies: 6
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years
- Salary: Rs. 44,450 + Rs. 12,000 FDA
- Qualifications:
- Essential: Master’s (M.Sc./MPH) in Food & Nutrition or Home Science.
- Desirable: One year of experience in conducting field/community studies.
3. SRF (Anthropology/Sociology/Social Work) (Date of Walk-in Interview: 1 2 / 0 6 / 2 0 2 4)
- Vacancies: 2
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years
- Salary: Rs. 44,450 + Rs. 12,000 FDA
- Qualifications:
- Essential: Post Graduation in Anthropology, Sociology, or Social Work.
- Desirable: One year of experience in anthropometry and mobile tablet-based data collection.
4. Sr. Technical Assistant (Date of Walk-in Interview: 1 3 / 0 6 / 2 0 2 4)
- Vacancies: 4 (SC-02, UR-01, EWS-01)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
- Salary: Rs. 32,000 + Rs. 12,000 FDA
- Qualifications:
- Essential: Graduate in Anthropology, Social Science, Sociology, Science (Biochemistry/Microbiology), or Social Work with a minimum of two years of experience, or a Post Graduate degree in the specified subjects.
- Desirable: Experience in drawing and processing blood samples.
5. Project Assistant (Phlebotomist) (Date of Walk-in Interview: 1 3 / 0 6 / 2 0 2 4)
- Vacancies: 4 (OBC-02, SC-01, UR-01)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
- Salary: Rs. 31,000 + Rs. 12,000 FDA
- Qualifications:
- Essential: Graduate in MLT or related field with relevant experience, DMLT with one year of relevant experience, or B.Sc (Nursing), or two years of nursing with one year of relevant experience.
6. Field Worker (Date of Walk-in Interview: 1 3 / 0 6 / 2 0 2 4)
- Vacancies: 8 (SC-02, OBC-02, UR-02, EWS-02)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
- Salary: Rs. 18,000 + Rs. 10,000 FDA
- Qualifications:
- Essential: 12th pass in Science and willingness to work in the field.
- Desirable: One year of experience in data collection.

Terms and Conditions
- The number of posts may vary based on project requirements.
- The posts are temporary.
- The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reasons.
- Age relaxation is admissible for Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates, and Ex-Servicemen as per Central Government norms.
- Age, qualifications, etc., will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
- Upper age limit relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC.
- Presently serving or previously served ICMR-Project employees with three years of service are not eligible.
- Selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at ICMR-NIN.
- The final selection results will be posted on the ICMR-NIN website. No individual intimation will be sent.
- At the time of joining, candidates must bring all original certificates, No Objection Certificate from the current employer, Aadhaar Card, Community and PWD Certificate (if applicable), and a passport-size photograph.
- Employment conditions will be the same as that of the project staff on contract basis.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
