Selection Procedure:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Covers Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Involves completing specific physical tasks, with criteria varying by gender.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must hold a Graduate degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit:
- The age limit for candidates is 20 to 28 years as of 1st July 2024. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.

- Height:
- Male (UR/EWS/OBC): 165 cm
- Female (UR/EWS/OBC): 157 cm
- Male (SC/ST): 160 cm
- Female (SC/ST): 152 cm
- Chest (Only for Male):
- Unexpanded: 80 cm (UR/EWS/OBC), 76.2 cm (SC/ST)
- Expanded: 85 cm (UR/EWS/OBC), 81.2 cm (SC/ST)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Sub-Inspector (Exe) Male:
- 1600 meters run in 6 min 30 secs
- Long jump: 12 ft
- High jump: 3 ft 9 inch
- Sub-Inspector (Exe) Female:
- 800 meters run in 4 min
- Long jump: 9 ft
- High jump: 3 ft
Ex-servicemen are exempt from the PET but must undergo the PMT.
