TNSET follows the UGC-NET pattern with two compulsory papers in CBT mode, without breaks between them:
- Paper I: General knowledge, teaching/research aptitude, etc. (50 MCQs; 100 marks)
- Paper II: Subject knowledge (100 MCQs; 200 marks)
