Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) Apprenticeship Engagement Announcement
TBRL, a premier institute under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, is inviting applications for the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This initiative aims to provide practical training to the selected candidates for a period of one year across various disciplines/trades.

Available Trades and Stipends:
- Welder, Secretarial Assistant, Stenographer (Hindi/English), Digital Photographer, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (Civil), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Carpenter.
- Stipends vary between Rs. 7700 to Rs. 8050 depending on the trade.

Application Procedure:
- Applicants must apply through the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.org) and upload all required documents.
- After applying on the portal, candidates must email scanned copies of all relevant documents in a single PDF file to the provided email.
- The deadline for application receipt is 22-03-2024. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.
Selection Procedure:
- The selection will be based on merit, considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. In case of a tie, marks of the lower examination will be used as a tie-breaker.
Training Commencement Date:
- The start date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates via email, SMS, or phone.
General Instructions:
- The apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in DRDO post-training.
- Applicants must be at least 14 years old by the application closing date.
- Technician (ITI) Apprentice candidates need to register at the NAPS portal.
- Candidates with post-graduation qualifications are ineligible.
- Reservations apply as per the Apprenticeship Act and rules.
- False information will result in disqualification.
- Selected candidates must submit a “Medical Fitness Certificate” at joining.
- No accommodation or transport will be provided during training.
- Stipends will be provided as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
- Candidates must agree to a one-year training contract as per apprenticeship regulations.

- In case of disputes, TBRL management’s decision will be final.
