Exam Pattern and Stages
Preliminary Written Test: MCQ-based exam consisting of 100 questions divided into General Awareness and General Knowledge (50 questions), Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) (30 questions), and Reasoning (20 questions). Negative marking applies for incorrect answers. This stage is qualifying in nature.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Specific physical standards and efficiency tests are required, including running events.
Final Written Examination: Consists of 85 marks, testing General Awareness & Knowledge, English, Elementary Mathematics, and Reasoning & Logical Analysis.
Interview: Carries 15 marks and assesses the candidate’s suitability for the role.
Verification of Character Antecedents and Medical Examination: Final stages post-interview to ensure candidates’ eligibility and fitness.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Scale: ₹22,700 - ₹58,500 with a grade pay of ₹2,600. Candidates will also be eligible for allowances like HRA, DA, etc.
