Vacancy Details and Qualifications:
DPE (Physical Education)
- Vacancies: 35
- Qualifications: Graduate with at least 50% marks and D.P.Ed./B.P.Ed. or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate or Integrated degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or its equivalent with at least 50% marks.
English
- Vacancies: 14
- Qualifications: Graduate or equivalent with English as an elective subject with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate with English as a teaching subject; Pass in CTET Paper-II.
Fine Arts
- Vacancies: 54
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree or its equivalent from a recognized University with at least 50% marks.
Hindi
- Vacancies: 17
- Qualifications: Graduate or equivalent with Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Hindi as teaching subject; Pass in CTET Paper-II.
Home Science
- Vacancies: 19
- Qualifications: B.Sc degree in Home Science or its equivalent with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Home Science/Domestic Science as a teaching subject.
Mathematics
- Vacancies: 8
- Qualifications: Graduate with Mathematics as one of the elective subjects with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Mathematics as a teaching subject; Pass in CTET Paper-II.
Music
- Vacancies: 15
- Qualifications: Graduate or equivalent with Music as one of the elective subjects with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Music as a teaching subject or Degree in Music with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Punjabi

Sanskrit

Science (Medical)

- Qualifications: Graduate with Zoology, Botany & Chemistry with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Science as a teaching subject; Pass in CTET Paper-II.
Science (Non-Medical)
- Vacancies: 48
- Qualifications: Graduate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 50% marks; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Science/Mathematics as a teaching subject; Pass in CTET Paper-II.
Social Studies
- Vacancies: 24
- Qualifications: Graduate with at least 50% marks with any two of the following seven elective subjects: History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Public Administration, and Psychology; B.Ed. recognized by NCTE with Social Studies/Social Science as teaching subjects; Pass in CTET Paper-II.
General Requirements for All Posts:
- Pass in Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET Paper-II) for the respective post as per the details and conditions notified by NCTE from time to time.
- Reservation for benchmark disabilities and other categories as per the Government of India and Department of Personnel, Chandigarh Administration instructions/guidelines.
- Age limit for candidates is 21 to 37 years as of 01.01.2024, with relaxations applicable as per government norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4600 (Level-7) as per notification dated 29.03.2023 by Chandigarh Administration, Finance Department.
Essential Qualifications:
- Varies by subject but generally includes a Graduate Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE.
- Passing the Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET Paper-II) is mandatory.

Selection Process:
- Based on marks obtained in an Objective Type Test comprising 150 questions.
- A merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be called for document verification based on merit.
- Detailed scheme of examination including subjects, marks distribution, and qualifying criteria are provided in the notification.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 21 to 37 years as of 01.01.2024. Relaxations applicable as per government norms.
Application Fee:
- Rs. 1000/- for General candidates.
- Rs. 500/- for SC candidates.
- PwD candidates are exempted from the payment of fees.
- Fees must be paid online by 18.03.2024 (upto 02.00 PM).
