Job Opportunity: Graduate and Technician Apprentices at ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri
The Indian Space Research Organisation’s Propulsion Complex (IPRC) located in Mahendragiri, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, is inviting applications for the position of Graduate (Engineering & Non-Engineering) / Technician Apprentices. This opportunity is under the Apprentices Act, 1961, offering a unique chance to contribute to India’s space exploration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
IPRC is at the forefront of developing Liquid Propulsion Systems for ISRO’s Launch Vehicle and Spacecraft Programmes. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience in various domains, including R&D of Earth Storable/Cryogenic & Semi Cryogenic Propulsion Systems, Assembly, Integration, and Testing of Launch Vehicle Engines and Stages, among others.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in specified disciplines. Disciplines include Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, Chemical, and Computer Science Engineering.
- Technician Apprentice: First Class Diploma in Engineering/Technology in the respective disciplines.
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce.
Number of Positions: 41 for Engineering Graduates, 44 for Technician Apprentices, and 15 for Non-Engineering Graduates.
Stipend: INR 9,000/- per month for Graduate Apprentices and INR 8,000/- for Technician Apprentices.
Age Limit:
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering & Non-Engineering): 28 years as on 03/02/2024
- Technician Apprentice: 35 years as on 03/02/2024
- Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD as per Government of India rules.

Applications are accepted through OFF-LINE mode only via WALK-IN-INTERVIEW. Candidates need to download the Application Form from the IPRC Careers page (www.iprc.gov.in), fill it out, and bring it along with originals and copies of necessary certificates to IPRC, Mahendragiri, on the specified date and time for submission.
Walk-In-Interview Schedule:
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): 10.02.2024, 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Technician Apprentice: 10.02.2024, 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): 11.02.2024, 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Selection Process:
Selection is based on the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination as mentioned in the Application Form.

- Only Indian nationals are eligible.
- Selected candidates will be registered under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and must sign a contract.
- No interim correspondence will be entertained, and canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
