The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board has announced the AP DME Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024 for 255 vacancies in various departments such as Anesthesia, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Pathology, and more. The recruitment process is for both Direct Recruitment and Lateral Entry positions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Post-Graduation degree (MD/DM/DNB/MS) in the concerned specialty (Clinical or Non-Clinical) from universities/institutions recognized by DCI/MCI/NMC.
- Age Limit: For Open Category (OC) candidates, the age limit is 42 years as of January 30, 2024. The age limit is extended to 47 years for EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates, 52 years for Physically Handicapped, and 50 years for Ex-servicemen.
- Experience: For Direct Recruitment, one year of Senior Residency at a recognized institute after completing the relevant qualifications is required. For Lateral Entry, only Assistant Professors in broad specialties working in the Directorate of Medical Education and Civil Assistant Surgeons are eligible to apply.
Application Process:
- The online application process starts on February 1, 2024, and the last date to apply is February 15, 2024.
- The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for OC candidates and Rs. 500/- for BC/SC/EWS/ST/PH candidates.
- Applicants can apply online through the official website dme.ap.nic.in.
Selection Process:
- The selection for Direct Recruitment will be based on a merit list considering various criteria, including academic performance and experience.
- For Lateral Entry, the merit list will be generated based on the rank assigned during the recruitment process for CAS/Assistant Professor positions.
Salary:
- The salary for AP DME Assistant Professors is not fixed yet and will be based on the rules in force upon completion of the probation period.
