Job Description:
The Department of Cardiology at Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, is seeking applications for the position of Data Entry Operator (Grade A) on a purely temporary basis. The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for assisting in data entry and electronic data processing as part of the extramural project mentioned above.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurate and timely entry of research-related data into the computer system.
- Speed Test: Perform a speed test on a computer, demonstrating a typing speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour.
- Electronic Data Processing (EDP): Utilize electronic data processing techniques for research-related tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain records and documents related to the project.
- Other Tasks: Assist in any other project-related tasks as directed by the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Intermediate or 12th pass in Science stream from a recognized board.
- A speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through a speed test on a computer.
- Desirable: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Electronic Data Processing (EDP) work in a Government, Autonomous, PSU, or any other recognized organization.

- No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
- The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final.
- The appointment is purely on a contract basis (temporary) and does not guarantee regular appointment or permanent absorption in GMCH 32.
- The candidate may be required to work in emergency situations, field visits, and travel outstation.
- All disputes will be subjected to the jurisdiction of the Court of Law at UT, Chandigarh.
