The Indian Air Force has initiated the recruitment process for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2025 under the Agnipath scheme. This opportunity is open to unmarried Indian male and female candidates. Here are the key details about this intake:
Recruitment Process
- Registration: Candidates eligible for this recruitment can apply online through the official website agnipathvayu.cdac.in. The registration started on January 17, 2024, and will close on February 6, 2024.
- Selection Process: The recruitment process comprises three phases:
- Phase 1: Preliminary test
- Phase 2: Second round of testing, including an Adaptability test (physical endurance)
- Phase 3: Medical examination
- Examination Dates and Venues: Information regarding exam dates and venues will be provided by the authorities ahead of the exam.
Eligibility Criteria
- For Science Subjects: Candidates should have passed Class XII Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% marks. A three-year Engineering diploma in specified disciplines or a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Math (securing 50% aggregate and 50% marks in English) is also acceptable.
- For Non-Science Subjects: A 10+2 Intermediate completion with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English is required, or a two-year vocational course with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be born between January 02, 2004, and July 02, 2007, with the upper age limit being 21 years at the time of enrolment if they clear all the selection stages.
Service Duration and Opportunities
Agniveervayu will serve in the Indian Air Force for four years under the Air Force Act 1950. Upon completion of this period, they may get an opportunity to apply for regular cadre based on the organizationβs needs and policies. Approximately 25% of each batch might be enrolled in the regular cadre, subject to the discretion of the Government of India.
