The Department of Community Medicine at GMCH, Chandigarh, invites applications for project positions in an ICMR, Govt. of India sponsored project: “Intergenerational community-based approach for digital health literacy of elderly by adolescents-A mutual beneficial model”. This project, led by Dr. Sonia Puri (Principal Investigator), is scheduled for a duration of 2 years.
Job Openings:
Research Assistant (1 Position)
- Qualification: Graduate in science with 3 years’ experience OR Master’s Degree in Public Health.
- Desirable: Experience in community-based research, proficiency in computer handling (MS Office, statistical tools), data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- per month (10% annual increment in 2nd year).
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
- Duties: Assisting in project activities, communication, modifying web platforms as needed, etc.
Field Investigator (1 Position)
- Qualification: Graduate in Science with 3 years’ experience OR MA in Social Work/Sociology/Public Health.
- Desirable: Experience in community-based research and data management.
- Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- per month (10% annual increment in 2nd year).
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
- Duties: Conducting and coordinating field activities, focus group discussions, etc.
Data Entry Operator (1 Position)
- Qualification: 12th Pass in Science with a Diploma in Computer Applications and typing speed of 30 WPM.
- Desirable: Experience in data processing/management.
- Remuneration: Rs. 17,000/- per month (10% annual increment in 2nd year).
- Age Limit: Up to 30 years.
- Duties: Data entry, management, analysis, and report writing.
General Instructions:
- Candidates may be shortlisted based on qualification, experience, or a screening test.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview/test.
- No TA/DA for interviews.
- Contract tenure is initially for one year, extendable based on performance.
- Submission of NOC required if employed.
- No entitlement to regular employee benefits.
