Educational Qualification:
For Civil: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil) or Technology (Civil) from a recognized University/Institution in India or equivalent.
For Mechanical: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Technology (Mechanical) from a recognized University/Institution in India or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment General Rules 1967.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, or both.

Selection Process
Step 1: Preliminary Test: Objective type written exam (300 marks total). Includes 100 marks for General Studies and 200 marks for the Concerned Subject. Duration: 180 minutes.
Step 2: Application Scrutiny: Based on Preliminary Test merit, eligible candidates will be called for document verification.
Step 3: Interview (Viva-Voce): Candidates qualifying the Preliminary Test will be called for an interview based on vacancy ratios (e.g., 10 candidates for 1 vacancy, or 3 times the number of vacancies/20 candidates, whichever is higher).
