Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
Written Examination: MCQ-based test (Total 200 marks excluding Kokborok/Bengali). Subjects include Mathematics (20 marks), English (30 marks), and General Knowledge (120 marks) covering Tripura, North-East, India, flora, fauna, climate, etc. A minimum of 40 marks is required to qualify. Kokborok or Bengali is a qualifying subject (100 marks).
Physical Standard Check: Qualifying stage based on height and chest girth (varies by gender and category) and a physical test (25 km walk for males in 4 hours; 16 km walk for females in 4 hours).
Interview: Candidates qualifying the written exam cut-off will be called for an interview (15 marks).
Medical Examination: Final candidates must undergo a medical examination conducted by the Health Department, Government of Tripura. (Note: Persons with disabilities are not eligible).
