Overview
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially announced the recruitment for Agriculture Officer (AO) and Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) positions for 2026.
There are a total of 872 + 18 (HK) vacancies available across the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and Kalyana Karnataka (KK) regions. Eligible candidates with relevant B.Sc or B.Tech degrees must submit their online applications by 10 May 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
For 85% of posts: B.Sc (Agriculture) or B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture from an ICAR/AICTE recognised university.
For 15% of posts: B.Tech (Food Science & Technology) / B.Tech (Food Technology) / B.Sc (Sericulture & Cooperation) / B.Sc (Agri Marketing & Cooperation) / B.Sc (Agri Business Management) / B.Sc (Agri Biotechnology) / B.Tech (Biotechnology) / B.Sc (Agricultural Engineering) / B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering).
Additional Requirements: Candidates must be registered on the OTR portal and possess Kannada language proficiency.

Salary / Pay Scale
Pay Scale: As per government rules
Monthly Salary: Includes DA, HRA, and other applicable allowances; NPS is applicable.
Selection Process
Step 1: Kannada Language Test (Qualifying nature)
Step 2: Written Exam (Offline OMR Objective Type - 2 papers, 300 marks each; 0.75 negative marking per wrong answer)
Step 3: Final selection based on merit in the written exam (minimum 35% qualifying marks required)

Complete the online registration using a valid mobile number and email ID (Must be registered on OTR portal).
Fill out the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and category details.
Upload scanned photograph (50–200 KB) and signature (50–70 KB) in JPEG format.
Upload required certificates including education, caste, and income documents.
Pay the prescribed application fee through the online mode.
Verify all entered details carefully before final submission.
Submit the application before 10 May 2026 and download the printed copy for future reference.
