Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Passed Class 8th from a recognized institution.
Possession of a valid Driving Licence for heavy/light vehicles with a minimum of 3 years driving experience (as on notification date).
Additional Requirement (NCC Department): Valid Driving Licence for both heavy and light vehicles.
Preferential Qualification: High School pass / Vehicle mechanic knowledge / Minimum 2 years service in Territorial Army / NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate.

Age Limit:

Minimum Age: 18 years (for some posts) / 21 years (for other posts)
Maximum Age: 42 years (as on 01.07.2026)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyang/Ex-Servicemen: As per Uttarakhand Government rules

Selection Process

Written Examination (25 Marks: Objective type covering Driving & General Knowledge)
Driving Test/Practical (75 Marks)
Note: Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying marks of 45% (UR/OBC) and 35% (SC/ST) in the written exam, and 50% in the Driving Test. Final merit is based on the total marks of both components.
