Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released the SSB Constable Tradesman & Driver Recruitment 2026 notification for 827 Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Combatised) & Non-Ministerial posts.
Candidates must have passed 10th/Matriculation with post-specific additional requirements and within prescribed age limits, ranging from 18–23 years to 18–27 years depending on the post.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Constable (Veterinary): 10th pass with Science as main subject from a recognised board and one year experience in treatment of different species of animals in a recognised veterinary hospital.
Constable (Driver) - Male: 10th pass from a recognised board and must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence.
Constables (Gardener, Water Carrier, Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Waiter): Matriculation or equivalent plus either two years work experience in the respective trade, or one year certificate course from recognised ITI/Vocational institute with at least six months practical training.
Constable (Carpenter): 10th pass and must have completed a relevant trade course from a recognized institution.
Constable (Nursing Orderly): Matriculation or equivalent plus First Aid certificate and one year experience in a 50-bedded hospital.
