Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
120 hours course in Personal Computers or Information Technology in Office Productivity Applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a Government recognized Institution (ISO 9001 certified).
OR
O level certificate equivalent from DOEACC.
Mandatory:
- Punjabi at matriculation level with minimum 50% marks.

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age:
- General/Others: 37 years (as on February 6, 2026)
- SC/BC Residents of Punjab: 42 years (upper limit as on February 6, 2026)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 0 years (5 years for BC residents of Punjab, upper limit 42 years)
- PwBD: 10 years (upper limit 47 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Punjab Recruitment of Ex-Servicemen Rules 1982 (upper limit 45 years for state/central govt employees)
- Widows/Divorcees: 3 years (upper limit 40 years)

Selection Process
Written Examination (Objective type - Multiple Choice Questions):
- Part A: Punjabi language paper at matriculation level (qualifying, minimum 50% marks required, marks not counted in merit).
- Part B: Paper based on educational qualification required for the post.
Merit list prepared based on Part-B marks only with negative marking (1 mark per question, ¼ mark deduction for wrong answer).
Document verification and counseling.
Final recommendation based on merit and category-wise availability.
