Important Notes on Reservation
- Ex-Servicemen: 13 posts (10% of total vacancies)
- PwD vacancies will be notified separately through a special recruitment drive
- Reserved vacancies are applicable only to candidates originally belonging to Gujarat
- Number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per administrative requirement

Pay Scale / Salary Structure
First 5 Years: Fixed pay of ₹49,600 per month
After 5 Years: Regular appointment in 7th Pay Commission Pay Level-7
Other allowances and benefits will be applicable as per Government of Gujarat rules.
Note: Appointment is subject to final outcome of SLP No. 14124/2012 and 14125/2012 pending before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from:
- A university established by Central/State Act in India, or
- A deemed university under Section-3 of UGC Act, 1956, or
- Any recognized educational institution
Computer Knowledge
Basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services (General) Rules, 1967
Accepted proofs:
Candidates without certificate must submit it before appointment, failing which appointment will be cancelled
Language Knowledge
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
Registration Requirement
- Mandatory registration with Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) at the time of application
- Candidate must register with Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapist once the Council is constituted under the Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapist Act, 2011
Experience
- No prior experience required

Selection will be done through One-Stage Written Examination (CBRT / OMR based).
Exam Pattern
- Total Questions: 210
- Total Marks: 210
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark per wrong answer
Part-A (60 Marks)
- Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation – 30 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 30 Marks
Part-B (150 Marks)
- Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English – 30 Marks
- Subject-related Physiotherapy Questions – 120 Marks
Qualifying Standard
- Minimum 40% marks separately in Part-A and Part-B for all categories
Final Merit
- Based on total marks
- Document verification for approximately twice the number of vacancies
- Final selection subject to medical fitness

- Widow Candidates: 5% additional marks (if not remarried)
- Sports Persons: 5% additional marks for recognized National/International/Inter-University level participation
