The SJVN Apprentice Recruitment for 2023 is currently open for applications and will close on January 7, 2024. This recruitment drive is being conducted by Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited, and it aims to fill a total of 60 vacancies. The recruitment is for various apprentice positions, which are distributed as follows:
Graduate Apprentice (20 Vacancies): These positions require a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology. The age limit for applicants is between 18 to 30 years. The pay scale for this role is ₹10,000 per month. The disciplines/trades under this category include Civil (6 vacancies), Electrical (4), Mechanical (4), Human Resource (3), and Finance & Accounts (3).
Technician (Diploma) Apprentice (20 Vacancies): Applicants should have a Diploma in Engineering/Technology and be aged between 18 to 30 years. The stipend for these positions is ₹8,000 per month. Available trades include Civil (12 vacancies), Electrical (3), Mechanical (3), and Information Technology (2).
Technician (ITI) Apprentice (20 Vacancies): These positions are for candidates who have passed ITI. The age limit and pay scale are the same as for the Diploma apprentices, with a monthly stipend of ₹7,000. The trades available are Electrician (6), Office Secretaryship/Stenography/Office Assistant/Office Management (3), Fabricator/Fitter/Welder (4), Mechanic (Electronics/General/Mechanical) (3), and Information Communications Technology/IT/Computer Assembly & Maintenance (4).
The selection process for these positions does not include interviews. Instead, candidates will be shortlisted based on a merit list formed from marks secured in Matriculation (10th standard), ITI Course/Diploma, and Bachelor of Engineering/Technology. The weightage for each qualification varies according to the type of apprenticeship.
