Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)
Clerk
Must have a University Degree from a recognized University.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Degree in Law.
Peon
Ability to read and write Marathi language.
Driver
10th pass
Valid LMV driving license
Minimum 3 years of driving experience
Stenographer – Lower Grade
Graduate degree
Knowledge of shorthand is required
Stenographer – Higher Grade
Must possess a University Degree
Degree requirement may be relaxed for candidates with at least 5 years experience as Lower Grade Stenographer in any Court/Tribunal or in the office of Advocate General/Government Pleader
Preference given to candidates having a Degree in Law
Age Limit (as on 05 January 2026)
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 38 years

Salary Details
Clerk: Pay Level S-10: ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 plus allowances
Peon: ₹16,600 to ₹52,500
Driver: ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 plus allowances
Stenographer (Lower Grade): Pay Level S-18: ₹49,100 to ₹1,55,800 plus allowances
Stenographer (Higher Grade): Pay Level S-20: ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 plus allowances
Selection Process
The Selection Committee may adopt any suitable method for shortlisting candidates.
Final selection will be based on:
Shorthand Test (for Stenographers)
Typing Test
Viva-voce
A Select List and Wait List will be prepared based on merit and published on the official Bombay High Court website.
Both lists will remain valid for two years from the date of publication unless extended by the Chief Justice.
If a selected candidate does not join within the specified time, their name will be removed from the Select/Wait List without notice.
