Overview
The Indian Air Force (IAF) invites online applications from eligible men and women Indian citizens for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Ground Duty Technical and Non-Technical Branches through the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) - 012026. The total vacancies are 340, with a last date to apply on December 14, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Graduation with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline and a minimum of 60 marks OR B.E./B.Tech Degree with a minimum of 60 marks OR candidates who have cleared Section A/B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers India or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60 marks.
For Ground Duty Technical Branch: 10+2 Physics and Maths with a four-year degree or Post Graduate in Engineering/Technology.
For Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches:
- Administration and Logistics: Degree in any discipline
- Accounts: B.Com degree
- Education: MBA/MCA or MA/M.Sc. Degree
NCC Special Entry Flying Branch: Graduates with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline with a minimum of 60 marks OR B.E./B.Tech Degree with a minimum of 60 marks.
Meteorology: Passed 10+2 and Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream including Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Computer Applications, Environmental Science, Applied Physics, Oceanography, Meteorology, Agricultural Meteorology, Ecology, Environment, Geo-physics, Environmental Biology with a minimum of 50 marks in aggregate.
