Pay Scale (7th CPC)
• Junior Technical Assistant: Level 5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300)
• Junior Assistant (MS): Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)
• Lab Assistant: Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)
• Other allowances as per Central Govt. rules
Educational Qualification & Experience
1. Junior Technical Assistant (Level 5)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Technology/Engineering in relevant field with at least 55% marks
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in laboratory/academic/research establishments of national/international repute
• Work areas may include: handling laboratory equipment, supporting engineering/science labs, IT, AV, e-classroom operations, etc.
2. Junior Assistant (MS) (Level 3)
• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks
• Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Minimum 3 years experience in office practices, hospitality or catering services
• Desirable: Hindi/English typing, shorthand, office/administrative experience
3. Lab Assistant (Level 3)
• B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences or Biological Sciences
• Minimum 3 years experience handling laboratory equipment and experiments
• Desirable: Master’s degree in relevant field
Age Limit (as on 23.12.2025)
• Junior Technical Assistant: Maximum 33 years
• Junior Assistant (MS): Maximum 30 years
• Lab Assistant: Maximum 30 years
• Age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC-NCL – 3 years, PwBD – 10 to 15 years, others as per rules

Selection Process
• Level 1: Screening of Applications
• Level 2: Screening / Skill / Trade Test (qualifying nature)
