PEC Chandigarh invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Manager (PR & Events). The position requires experience in managing placement, PR, and event-related activities, preferably in premier engineering institutes.

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Academic Qualification
- First Class M.Sc. / MCA from a recognized university
- Candidates with experience in top-tier institutes such as IITs, NITs, PEC, or reputed engineering institutions will be given preference

Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
Training & Placement Activities
- Manage placement activities for engineering and technical students
- Coordinate with industries, companies, and recruiters to develop placement opportunities
- Maintain strong industry relations and ensure regular engagement with employers
PR, Events & Industry Liaison
- Organize events, campus drives, workshops, seminars, and recruitment-related programs
- Handle public relations, outreach, and communication tasks
- Clearly mention past experience in organizing or managing major events and PR activities (mandatory)
Data, Research & ATS
- Perform data scraping, research, and build well-maintained databases
- Use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and digital tools effectively
- Maintain detailed records of student data, placements, and employer connections
Market & Trend Analysis
- Track job market trends, hiring patterns, recruiter expectations
- Align placement strategies with emerging industry demands

Essential Experience
- Must currently be in active service
- Must have hands-on experience in training & placement / PR / events specifically involving engineering students
- Prior experience in Engineering/Technical Institutes (IIT/NIT/PEC or equivalent) is highly preferred

Contract & Salary
- Appointment: Initially for 1 year, extendable based on satisfactory performance
- Salary: As per DC Rates (Sr. No. 509 in Annexure-2)
- Position is purely contractual
- Either side may terminate with one-month notice
