Public Notice — Recruitment of Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers (Honorary & Part-time Basis)

Applications are invited from eligible female candidates for engagement as Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers (on honorary and part-time basis) for various Anganwadi Centres located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality & Residence:
- The applicant must be a female resident of the local village or community where the Anganwadi Centre is situated, or adjoining areas within 3–5 km of the centre.
- In case no suitable local candidate is available, applications from the SDM-wise zone area will be considered.
- Newly married women (within 2 months) may attach husband’s residence proof, but must submit their own updated proof within 2 months of joining.
Acceptable Residence Proofs:
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID Card
- Electricity Bill / Water Bill / Other valid Government-issued residence proof

Post-wise Details
1. Anganwadi Worker
- Total Posts: 06
- Qualification: Minimum Class XII (10+2) pass
- Age Limit: 18 to 35 years (relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC candidates)
- Honorarium: ₹4,500/- per month (Centre Budget) + ₹3,600/- per month (State Budget)
2. Anganwadi Helper
- Total Posts: 40
- Qualification: Minimum Class 10th pass (Matriculation)
- Age Limit: 18 to 35 years (relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC candidates)
- Honorarium: ₹2,500/- per month (Centre Budget) + ₹1,800/- per month (State Budget)
Note: Additional marks will be awarded for higher educational qualifications while preparing merit lists for promotions and selection.
