BSSC Office Attendant Recruitment 2025
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 3727 posts of Office Attendants. This opportunity offers candidates the chance to be employed in various locations across Bihar, with an attractive salary range starting from ₹18,000 up to ₹56,900 per month, including Grade Pay of ₹1800.
Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 37 years as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxation applies to various categories:
- Unreserved Male: No relaxation
- Backward Class (BCE), Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 40 years
- Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): 42 years
- Disabled Candidates of all categories: 10 additional years
Application Fees
The application fees are as follows:
- General, BCE, EBC Male applicants: ₹540
- SC/ST Bihar Residents and All Female Bihar Residents: ₹135
- All Candidates from Outside Bihar: ₹540
Payment must be made online via the BSSC payment portal. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Written Exam: This is a multiple-choice exam with 100 questions for 400 marks covering General Hindi, General Mathematics, and General Knowledge. The duration of the examination is 2 hours, with negative marking applicable at a rate of 1 mark per wrong answer.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be required to undergo document verification.
Examination Pattern
The exam pattern is structured as follows:
- General Knowledge: 40 questions (160 marks)
- General Mathematics: 30 questions (120 marks)
- General Hindi: 30 questions (120 marks)
Total: 100 questions for 400 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Minimum qualifying marks vary by category:
- General Category: 40%
- Backward Class: 36.50%
- Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 34%
- Scheduled Caste/Tribe (SC/ST): 32%
- Disabled Candidates: 32%
- Women All Categories: 32%
