Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh invites applications from eligible candidates for the following contractual positions. Engagements are purely temporary and will be governed by the institute’s norms.

🟣 1. Student Counsellor (Female)
No. of Posts: 01
Appointment: Purely on temporary basis for 1 year (extendable based on requirement and satisfactory performance)
Remuneration: ₹50,000 per month (consolidated)
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on the last date of advertisement
Essential Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology / Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology / Counselling and Guidance with minimum 55% marks.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an educational institute, co-educational college, or women’s college.
Desirable:
- One year of clinical experience in a mental health centre.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and institute staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide professional counselling services to students, staff, and faculty as needed.
- Must be available for counselling support during evenings or weekends if required.
- Undertake any other counselling-related duties as assigned by the institute.

🩺 2. Medical Officer (Female)
No. of Posts: 01
Appointment: Purely on temporary basis for one year (extendable based on need and performance)
Remuneration:
- For Freshers: ₹53,806 per month (as per DC Rate, Chandigarh Administration)
- For Retired Persons: As per Chandigarh Administration rules
Age Limit:
- Not exceeding 40 years for fresh candidates
- Not exceeding 60 years for retired persons
Essential Qualification:
- MBBS from a recognized university/institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a general physician.
Job Role:
- To provide medical consultation and healthcare services to students and staff.
- To attend to any medical emergencies or institute-related health issues as required.

💻 3. System-cum-Network Administrator
No. of Posts: 01
Appointment: Purely on temporary basis for six months initially, extendable as per requirement and satisfactory performance.
Remuneration: ₹54,318 per month (as per DC Rate, Chandigarh Administration)
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on the last date of advertisement
Essential Qualification (Any one):
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) / Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) with at least 60% marks (1st Division) and minimum 2 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and handling of network servers, equipment, and peripherals.
OR
- MCA with at least 60% marks (1st Division) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
OR
- Three-year Diploma in Computer Science with at least 60% marks (1st Division) and minimum 4 years of experience in device installation, network/server maintenance, and related hardware management.
