Southern Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2025
Southern Railway is inviting applications for 67 sports quota posts in various disciplines. The positions are available across different levels based on sport and qualification criteria.
Vacancies Details:
- Level 4 & 5 (Athletics Women, Boxing Women, Cricket Men, Tennis Men): 05 vacancies
- Level 2 & 3 (Athletics Men/Women, Basketball Men/Women, Boxing Men, Cricket Men/Women, Golf Men, Swimming Men, Tennis Men): 16 vacancies
- Level - 1 (Athletics Men/Women, Basketball Men/Women, Boxing Men/Women, Cricket Men/Women, Golf Men, Swimming Men, Weightlifting Men/Women): 46 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the specified educational qualifications and sports achievements as per post levels.
- Level 2 & 3: Matriculation with 12th Class Pass.
- Level 4 & 5: Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree).
Sports Eligibility:
- Level 4 & 5: Represented the Country in Olympic Games Category-A or at least a 3rd position in any of the Category-B Championships events.
- Level 2 & 3: Represented the Country in any of the Category B Championships events, or at least a 3rd position in any of the Category C Championships events, National Championships, Federation Cup Championship Senior Category, etc.
- Level -1: Represented the Country in any of the Category C Championships Events, or at least a 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships Senior Category, represented State or equivalent unit with at least an 8th position in Senior National Championships.
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years as on January 01, 2026. Relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Salary Structure:
- Level 1: ₹ 18,000 -
- Level 2: ₹ 19,900 -
- Level 3: ₹ 21,700 -
- Level 4: ₹ 25,500 -
- Level 5: ₹ 29,200 -
Selection Process:
The selection process includes a total of 100 marks distributed as follows:
- Trials (Game Skill and Physical Fitness): 40 Marks
- Assessment of Recognized Sports Achievements: 50 Marks
- Educational Qualification: 10 Marks
Application Fee:
- General, OBC Category Candidates: ₹ 500-
- SC/ST/Women Ex-servicemen/PwD candidates belonging to Minority: ₹ 250-
