TNPSC Group VA Services Notification 2025

Assistant Section Officer:

- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of drafting experience as a Junior Assistant or Assistant.
  
  Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, or Statistics must have served for not less than five years in the Assistant category including Junior Assistant in Tamil Nadu Ministerial or Judicial Ministerial Service.
Assistant:
- Must be holding the post of Junior Assistant or Assistant in Tamil Nadu Ministerial or Judicial Ministerial Service.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of service after degree as a Junior Assistant or Assistant.
  
  Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, or Statistics must have served for not less than three years in the Junior Assistant or Assistant category in Tamil Nadu Ministerial or Judicial Ministerial Service.

Age Limit

For Assistant Section Officer:
- Others (BC): 35 years
- SC/ST: 40 years as on 01.07.2025
For Assistant:
- Others (BC): 30 years
- SC/ST: 35 years as on 01.07.2025

Selection Process

The selection process involves a Written Examination with two descriptive papers:

Paper I: General Tamil (Degree Standard, 100 Marks, 3 Hours Duration)
Paper II: General English (Degree Standard, 100 Marks, 3 Hours Duration)

Each candidate must obtain a minimum of 60 marks to qualify in each paper.
