The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is inviting applications for its Group C recruitment process. This opportunity aims to fill a total of 938 vacancies across various posts. The job roles include Clerk-Typist, Tax Assistant, Industry Inspector, and Technical Assistant.
Vacancy Details
- Clerk-Typist: 852 positions with a pay scale of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200.
- Tax Assistant: 73 positions with a pay scale of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100.
- Industry Inspector: 9 positions with a pay scale of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400.
- Technical Assistant: 4 positions with a pay scale of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300.
Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for these roles:
- Clerk-Typist and Tax Assistant require a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Technical Assistant requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Industry Inspector requires a Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution.
Age Limit
Candidates must not exceed the following age limits as of February 1, 2026:
- General Unreserved Category: Up to 38 years.
- Reserved Categories (Backward Class, EWS, Orphan, Proficient Sportsperson): Up to 43 years.
- PwD Candidates: Up to 45 years.

Application Fee
The application fees are as follows:
- Unreserved General Category: Rs. 394 for Prelims and Rs. 544 for Mains.
- Backward Class/EWS/Orphan: Rs. 294 for Prelims and Rs. 344 for Mains.
- Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 44 for both Prelims and Mains.
Payment can be made through online debit/credit card, net banking, or other integrated payment gateways.
