Qualifications (Highlights)
- Technical Assistant: First Class B.E./B.Tech/Diploma/B.Sc/M.Sc in relevant discipline.
- Junior Engineer (Civil): First Class B.E./B.Tech (Civil) or First Class Diploma.
- SAS Assistant: Graduation + Physical fitness + Game skill proficiency.
- Library & Information Assistant: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science.
- Superintendent: First Class Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
- Steno/Assistants: Typing & shorthand skills + Computer proficiency.
- Technicians/Sr. Technicians: 10+2 (Science)/ITI/Diploma in relevant trades.
- Pharmacist: 10+2 in Science + Diploma in Pharmacy + Registration as Pharmacist.

Selection Process (3 Stages for most posts)
- Stage-I: Screening Test (CBT) — 60 MCQs, 75 mins, qualifying only.
- Stage-II: Skill/Proficiency Test (Typing/Steno/Practical/Sports). Qualifying only.
- Stage-III: Final Test (CBT) — 60 MCQs, 75 mins. Marks count for merit.
(Cut-offs: Generally 30% for UR/OBC, 25% for SC. Negative marking: –¼ per wrong answer.)

Age Relaxations
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: As per GoI norms.
- Departmental candidates: As per NIT RRs 2019.
- Legacy employees (appointed before Model RRs 2012): Relaxation in age/marks as per MHRD letter.
- Adhoc/contract/outsourced staff with ≥2 years’ service: Up to 50 years relaxation for Library Assistant, Superintendent & Pharmacist (one-time).
