The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released an official notification (No. A-7/E-1/2025 dated 4 September 2025) for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in various subjects across state government colleges. A total of 1,253 vacancies have been announced under this recruitment.

- UR, EWS, OBC: ₹125 (₹100 exam fee + ₹25 online processing fee)

- Ex-Servicemen: ₹65 (₹40 exam fee + ₹25 processing fee)

Eligibility Criteria
- Post Name: Assistant Professor
- Total Vacancies: 1,253
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject (or equivalent grade), and must have cleared NET/SET/SLET or hold a Ph.D./M.Phil as per UGC regulations.
- Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on 1 July 2025 (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per UP government rules).
- Pay Scale: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 (Level 10 of the 7th CPC pay matrix).

The selection will be based on:
- Written Examination (objective type questions relevant to the subject)
- Interview
Final selection will be based on the combined performance in both stages.
