Introduction
The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh Centre, Rupnagar (Ropar), invites applications from interested and eligible candidates for selection/empanelment of manpower for various positions. The engagement will be on a contractual basis for six months, extendable up to one year depending on project requirements.
Applications must be submitted in person on 19/09/2025 (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) at NIELIT Ropar, followed by walk-in interviews on the same day.

Vacancies and Remuneration
The following positions are available under this recruitment:
- Resource Person (Office Assistant): One position at Ropar with monthly remuneration of βΉ22,000/-.
- Resource Person (Assistant): Two positions at Ropar with monthly remuneration of βΉ25,000/- each.
- Resource Person (Development): Two positions at Ropar with monthly remuneration of βΉ45,000/- each.
- Resource Person (Accounts): Two positions at Ropar with monthly remuneration of βΉ35,000/- each.
- Junior Resource Person (Exam): One position at Ropar with monthly remuneration of βΉ18,000/-.
- Junior Resource Person (Computer Operator): One position at Ropar with monthly remuneration of βΉ18,000/-.
- Junior Resource Person (Faculty β IT): One position at Chandigarh with monthly remuneration of βΉ25,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria
The essential qualifications and experience required for the posts are as follows:
- Resource Person (Office Assistant): Graduate with minimum six-month course in Computers from a recognized institute or DOEACC/NIELIT βOβ Level.
- Resource Person (Assistant): Graduate with good knowledge of MS Office, computer applications, and office work experience.
- Resource Person (Development): B.Tech (Computer Science/IT) or MCA or equivalent with relevant skills and experience in software/application development.
- Resource Person (Accounts): Commerce Graduate with relevant knowledge/experience in accounts and computer applications.
- Junior Resource Person (Exam): Graduate with basic computer knowledge.
- Junior Resource Person (Computer Operator): Graduate with training in computer applications.
- Junior Resource Person (Faculty β IT): Degree in IT/Computer Science with experience in teaching/training.
All degrees/diplomas must be from recognized universities/institutes. Where CGPA/OGPA is mentioned, candidates must provide a conversion certificate into percentage from the concerned university/institute.

Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee is applicable as follows:
- SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates: βΉ350/-
- All other categories: βΉ700/-
The fee is to be paid in the form of a Bank Draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of βNIELIT Chandigarhβ, payable at Ropar (Rupnagar), Punjab. Candidates may also pay the fee by swiping debit/credit card at the POS machine available in the office.

Application Process and Interview Schedule
- Candidates must report in person at NIELIT Rupnagar, Birla Farms, Bada Phull, Rupnagar, Punjab β 140001 on 19/09/2025.
- Application form submission and eligibility checking: From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (eligibility checking from 9:45 am onwards).
- Interview: From 2:00 pm onwards on the same day.
Applications received by post/courier will not be considered.

Documents Required
Candidates must bring original testimonials and submit self-attested copies of the following along with the application form:
- Prescribed application fee receipt (Bank Draft/Pay Order/POS).
- SC/ST/PwD certificate (if applicable).
- Matriculation/10th certificate showing Date of Birth.
- Degree/Certificates of essential qualification.
- Higher educational qualification certificates (if any).
- Post-qualification experience certificates clearly mentioning duration (if required for the post).
- Aadhaar Card and PAN Card copy.
- First page of bank account passbook with printed details.
- Recent passport-size coloured photograph affixed on the application form.
Incomplete applications or applications without the required documents will be rejected.

Selection Criteria
- Selection will be done through Walk-in Interview only.
- Each candidate will be assessed for 15 marks in subject knowledge and 15 marks in interpersonal skills.
- In case of a tie, preference will be given to the elder candidate (age-wise).

Important Instructions
- The positions are purely contractual and co-terminus with project requirements.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Candidates must make their own boarding/lodging arrangements.
- The engagement carries no service benefits such as PF, pension, insurance, gratuity, seniority, or promotion.
- Age and qualification eligibility will be determined as on the closing date of application submission (19/09/2025).
- Any discrepancy or false information at any stage will lead to cancellation/termination of candidature and possible legal action.
- Place of posting may be changed as per project requirements without any relocation benefits.
- NIELIT reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment at any stage.

- In case of disputes, the legal jurisdiction will be at Ropar under the Honβble Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
