Southern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025 – 3518 Vacancies
The Southern Railway (SR) has released Notification No. 01/2025 inviting online applications for Apprentice Training in various trades under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 3518 vacancies have been announced across different divisions and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed 10th / 12th Standard with a minimum of 50% marks and possess an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT / SCVT.
Age Limit (as on 25 August 2025)
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 22 years (for Non-ITI trades)
- Maximum Age: 24 years (for ITI-qualified trades)
- Age relaxations apply as per Government of India rules.
Stipend (Pay Scale)
- During apprenticeship training, selected candidates will be paid a stipend of ₹6,000 – ₹7,000 per month (as per Apprenticeship Act norms).
Selection Process
- Selection will be made on the basis of merit, prepared by taking the average of marks in 10th/12th and ITI.
- No written examination or interview will be conducted.
- Document verification will be held for shortlisted candidates.
