Vacancy Details
A total of 104 posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) are available on a contractual basis under Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh.
The vacancies are distributed across the following subjects:
- English – 19 posts
- Hindi – 6 posts
- Punjabi – 5 posts
- Mathematics – 20 posts
- Science (Medical) – 25 posts
- Science (Non-Medical) – 20 posts
- Social Science – 9 posts
Reservations are provided for SC, OBC, EWS, PwD and Ex-Servicemen categories as per Government of India and Chandigarh Administration rules. Backlog vacancies are also included in this advertisement.

Remuneration
Selected candidates will be engaged on a fixed remuneration of ₹54,870/- per month, subject to revision by the society from time to time.

Essential Qualifications
The candidate must possess the prescribed qualification as on the closing date of application. The key requirements are:
- Graduation with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as an elective.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with at least 50% marks and the concerned subject as a teaching subject.
- Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET – Paper II) conducted by CBSE, in accordance with guidelines issued by NCTE.
- For Science and Social Science streams, candidates may also apply with Integrated B.Sc./B.Ed. or equivalent courses with at least 50% marks.
- For ICT skills, candidates must possess a Certificate in Computer Concepts (CCC) – 80 hours from a Govt. recognized institute / ISO 9001 certified institute / DOEACC (now NIELIT). This must be produced at the time of appointment.

Age Limit
- The candidate must be between 21 and 37 years as on 1 January 2025.
- Age relaxation will be applicable to SC, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and other reserved categories as per Chandigarh Administration and Government of India rules.

Application Fee
- ₹1000/- (General, OBC, EWS)
- ₹500/- (SC candidates)
- No fee for PwD candidates
The fee must be deposited through online mode only, up to 08 September 2025 (till 02:00 PM).

Selection Process
Selection will be made purely on the basis of a written examination.
- The exam will be of 150 marks, consisting of Part A (50 marks – General Awareness, Reasoning, ICT, Teaching Aptitude, and Language Comprehension) and Part B (100 marks – Subject-specific questions).
- Duration of exam: 150 minutes.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in each part separately.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- No interview will be conducted.
- Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written test. In case of a tie, higher B.Ed. marks will be considered, followed by age seniority.
