JKSSB Recruitment 2025 – 61 Vacancies (Assistant Scientific Officer, Laboratory Attendant & Other Posts) – Last Date Extended
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement No. 06 of 2025 dated 22 July 2025 for recruitment to various posts including Assistant Scientific Officer, Assistant Superintendent Jail, Computer Assistant, and Laboratory Attendant. A total of 61 vacancies have been announced under this notification.
The last date for submission of online applications has been extended up to 17 September 2025.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility
Assistant Scientific Officer (Chemistry & Toxicology) – 2 Posts
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Forensic Science with minimum 50% marks from a UGC-recognized University.
- Pay Level: 6E (₹35,900 – ₹1,13,500)
Assistant Scientific Officer (Documents) – 2 Posts
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Forensic Science with minimum 50% marks.
- Pay Level: 6E
Assistant Scientific Officer (Crime Scene) – 2 Posts
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in Forensic Science from a UGC-recognized University.
- Pay Level: 6E
Assistant Superintendent Jail – 23 Posts
- Qualification: Graduation with Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work / Sociology / Psychology / Criminology.
- Pay Level: 6C (₹35,700 – ₹1,13,100)
Computer Assistant – 1 Post
- Qualification: Graduation with one-year Diploma in Computer Software Applications OR B.Sc. IT / BCA OR Three-Year Diploma in Computer Applications/Software Applications from an AICTE-recognized institute.
- Pay Level: 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)
Laboratory Attendant – 32 Posts
- Qualification: 10+2 with Science having Mathematics or Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized board.
- Pay Level: SL-2 (₹15,900 – ₹50,400)
