Age Limit:
- Between 18 years to 25 years
- Relaxable for Departmental candidates up to 40 years, as per the instructions/orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate with Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Agricultural, Commerce, or Accounting as one of the subjects.
Note: The direct recruits must submit the certificate of training in Information Communication Technology (ICT) Skills of 80 hours at the time of appointment, as per Chandigarh Administration’s instructions (vide No.28/69-IH(12/Pers.\&Trg.2019/17927, dated 25.11.2019).

Assessment:
The selection will be based on the written test consisting of:
1. Computation of Data Analysis (Objective Type) – 60 Marks
2. Analytical Writing Skills (Subjective Type) – 40 Marks
3. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer in the objective-type questions.
4. Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% in both parts of the test.
  
  Note: Part-2 (Analytical Writing Skills) will be evaluated only for candidates who score at least 40% in Part-1.

Document Verification:
Candidates will be called for document verification during counseling.
Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
Written Test:
The test will be conducted at Chandigarh only. The written test will consist of objective and subjective questions in the English language.
No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for attending the test/interview.

Probation Period:
The selected candidate will be on probation for two years, which may be extended if their conduct and performance are not satisfactory.
Medical Fitness Certificate:
A medical fitness certificate from the Principal Medical Officer is required before entering Government service.
Other Conditions:
- The employee must not have more than one living spouse.
- The candidate’s character and antecedents will be verified.
- Services can be terminated without assigning any reasons during the probation period.
Resignation:
In case of resignation, a one-month notice or payment equivalent to one month’s emoluments (including salary) is required.
Pension Scheme:
The employee will be covered under the New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme or Unified Pension Scheme, as applicable.
