Indian Coast Guard – Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2025 (170 Vacancies, CGCAT 2027 Batch, Last Date Extended)
The Indian Coast Guard has released a recruitment notification for the Assistant Commandant posts under the CGCAT 2027 Batch. A total of 170 vacancies are available across General Duty and Technical branches. The last date for online application submission has been extended to 27 July 2025.

Vacancy Details
General Duty (GD) – 140 posts
- Qualification: Graduate degree with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Class XII (10+2) or equivalent as per the 10+2+3 education scheme
- Age limit: 21 to 25 years as on 1 July 2026
Technical (Engineering/Electrical) – 30 posts
- Qualification: Engineering degree in one of the following disciplines – Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or equivalent
- Age limit: 21 to 25 years as on 1 July 2026
Selection Process
The selection process includes a computer-based written examination (CGCAT), followed by preliminary selection, final selection, medical examination, and document verification.
