The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has released a major recruitment notification for the Navik (General Duty, Domestic Branch) and Yantrik (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) posts under the CGEPT 01/2026 & 02/2026 batches. A total of 630 vacancies are available. The last date to apply has been extended to 29th June 2025.

💰 Application Fee:
- ₹300/- for General, OBC, and EWS candidates
- No fee for SC/ST candidates

✅ Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit:
Applicants must be between 18 to 22 years as on the date mentioned in the official notification. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
Educational Qualification & Post Details:
- Navik (General Duty): Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board.
- Navik (Domestic Branch): Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board.
- Yantrik (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics): Candidates should have passed Class 10 and Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. Those with Class 12 and Diploma are also eligible.
Vacancies are distributed as follows:
- 260 posts for Navik (GD) under CGEPT-01/2026
- 260 posts for Navik (GD) under CGEPT-02/2026
- 50 posts for Navik (Domestic Branch) under CGEPT-02/2026
- 30 posts for Yantrik (Mechanical)
- 11 posts for Yantrik (Electrical)
- 19 posts for Yantrik (Electronics)

💼 Pay & Perks:
Pay scale and benefits will be as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) rules. Selected candidates will be entitled to salary, allowances, medical facilities, canteen privileges, and retirement benefits.

📝 Selection Process:
The selection procedure involves:
- Computer-Based Online Exam (Stage I)
- Physical Fitness Test (Stage II)
- Document Verification & Medical Examination (Stage III)
- Final Medical Examination at INS Chilka (Stage IV)
All stages are qualifying in nature and conducted across multiple centers in India.
