HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 30 Vacancies
The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released Advertisement No. 34/4-2025 for the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) Combined Competitive Examination 2025. A total of 30 vacancies have been announced across several departments including Revenue, Rural Development, Personnel, and State Taxes & Excise. The online application process is live and all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline.

Application Fee
- ₹600 for Male candidates of General Category, General-EWS, Wards of Freedom Fighters (WFF), Ex-servicemen of General category, and all candidates of other states.
- ₹150 for Male candidates of SC, ST, OBC categories of Himachal Pradesh and their Wards, including WFF and Ex-servicemen.
- No fee for Female candidates of all categories and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh who are relieved from defence services after completion of normal tenure.

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per the Himachal Pradesh Government rules for reserved categories.

Educational Qualification
- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
- Candidates awaiting their final year results may apply but must produce proof of passing before the main examination.

- Block Development Officer (BDO) – Rural Development: 9 Posts

Pay Scale (Post-wise)
- Assistant Commissioner (Personnel Department): ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
- Block Development Officer (Rural Development): ₹53,600 – ₹1,70,100
- Tehsildar (Revenue Department): ₹46,000 – ₹1,46,500
- Excise and Taxation Officer: ₹46,100 – ₹1,46,500
All posts carry additional allowances as per Himachal Pradesh Government norms.

Selection Process
The selection for HPAS 2025 will be done through the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination – Objective Type (Screening Test)
- Main Written Examination – Descriptive Type
- Personality Test / Interview
Only candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be eligible to appear in the Main Written Examination.
