π Post Details:
1. JRF in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
- Essential Qualification:
ME/M.Tech in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels
OR
M.Sc./BE/B.Tech with First Division and NET/GATE qualification in Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
- Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of numerical modeling/simulation and coding, experience in Unity development (Virtual Reality), knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, HPC systems, and Data Centers.
- Number of Positions: 3

2. JRF in Physics/Geophysics
- Essential Qualification:
Masterβs degree in Physics or Geophysics with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels and NET/GATE qualification.
- Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of numerical modeling, simulation, and coding experience.
- Number of Positions: 2

3. JRF in Environmental Science/Statistics
- Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. in Environmental Science or Statistics with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels and NET/GATE qualification.
- Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of computers and statistical tools.

4. JRF in Remote Sensing, GIS, or Geoinformatics
- Essential Qualification:
ME/M.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geo-Informatics/Geomatics/Geospatial Technology/Spatial Information Technology with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels
OR
M.Sc./BE/B.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geo-Informatics with First Division and NET/GATE qualification.
- Desirable Qualification:
Experience in Himalayan fieldwork, remote sensing image processing, GIS software, AI/ML-based analysis, SAR data handling.

5. JRF in Design/Instrumentation Engineering
- Essential Qualification:
ME/M.Tech in Design or Instrumentation Engineering with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels

- Desirable Qualification:
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and sensor instrumentation.

6. JRF in Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation Engineering
- Essential Qualification:
ME/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Instrumentation Engineering with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels
OR
BE/B.Tech with First Division and NET/GATE qualification in the relevant field.
- Desirable Qualification:
Embedded programming skills and proficiency in C/C++ programming.

π Important Instructions:
- Interested candidates must bring a duly filled application form, a complete bio-data, self-attested copies of mark sheets/certificates (from 10th onwards), caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificates, and a recent passport-size photograph affixed on the application.
- Candidates working in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.
- Application forms can be downloaded from the DRDO official website: www.drdo.gov.in
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- Selection will be provisional, subject to verification of all original documents.
- Maximum age limit is 28 years for JRF positions as of the interview date. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates is applicable as per government rules.
- Selected candidates will need to regularly visit and stay in snow-bound and glaciated regions of the Himalayas for field data collection as per project requirements.
- Fellowship is purely temporary and does not guarantee absorption or regular appointment in DRDO.
- The initial fellowship tenure is two years or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier, and may be terminated by giving one monthβs notice.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining if selected.

- Reporting time: 08:30 AM to 10:00 AM
- Screening and document verification: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Interview for shortlisted candidates: From 11:00 AM onwards

- A candidate can apply for only one fellowship position.
- The number of fellowships may vary depending on the requirement.
