Online Application Period: From 25.11.2023 (10:00 hrs) to 24.12.2023 (17:00 hrs).
Vacancies and Locations:
- Total of 1104 apprentice slots across various workshops and units in the North Eastern Railway zone.
- Specific allocations include Mechanical Workshop Gorakhpur, Signal Workshop Gorakhpur Cantt, Bridge Workshop Gorakhpur Cantt, Mechanical Workshop Izzatnagar, Diesel Shed Izzatnagar, Carriage & Wagon Izzatnagar, Carriage & Wagon Lucknow Jn, Diesel Shed Gonda, and Carriage & Wagon Varanasi.
Trades Offered: Various trades like Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Electrician, Machinist, etc., with detailed break-up of reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyang/Ex-Servicemen & their wards.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: 15-24 years as on 25.11.2023, with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Divyang candidates.
- Educational Qualifications: High School/10th with minimum 50% marks & ITI in notified trade.
Physical Standards: Medical fitness as per specified standards.
Application Fee: INR 100/- (SC/ST/EWS/Divyang/Women candidates exempted).
Application Mode: Online through the North Eastern Railway website.
Selection Process:
- Based on a merit list prepared from the average of the percentage of marks in both Matriculation and ITI.
- Document Verification at Gorakhpur for provisionally selected candidates.
Training and Stipend: As per the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council.
