The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is inviting applications for Part-Time Performing Arts Teachers. IISER Mohali was established in 2007 to promote research and high-quality science education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Available Positions:
IISER Mohali is hiring dedicated and qualified individuals for three part-time teaching positions in the field of Performing Arts:
- Kathak Teacher – 1 Vacancy
- Tabla Teacher – 1 Vacancy
- Guitar Teacher – 1 Vacancy

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree with distinction in the respective field of expertise.
OR
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching students aged 5 to 25 years.
Maximum Age Limit: No age restriction.
Citizenship: The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
General Conditions:
- Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements as of the last date of application.
- Only recognized universities/institutions’ qualifications will be considered.
- Incomplete applications or applications without necessary documents will be rejected.
- Applicants must submit one recommendation letter from an expert in their field along with a detailed CV.
- The decision of IISER Mohali regarding eligibility, selection, and number of vacancies will be final.
- The number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on the requirement.
- IISER Mohali reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email regarding further selection processes.

- Selected candidates must bring original documents for verification at the time of joining.
- The appointment is purely part-time for an initial semester-long period, extendable based on performance and institutional requirements.
- Performing Arts Teachers must visit the campus twice a week during the semester.
- The fixed remuneration is ₹3,000 per session + ₹500 as Travel Allowance.
- The appointment can be terminated by either party with a 15-day notice.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending interviews or joining the institute.
- The engagement does not guarantee future regularization or absorption into permanent service.
