Chandigarh Sports Council Recruitment Notification
The Chandigarh Sports Council (CSC) has announced recruitment for various contract-based positions under the Khelo India Scheme in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI). A total of four vacancies are available for Assistant Rowing Coach, Young Professional, and Masseur-Grade-1 (Male & Female). The contract will be renewed annually based on performance, periodic reviews, and result-oriented work.
Eligible candidates must submit their applications offline before 7th March 2025 (5:00 PM).

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria
1. Assistant Rowing Coach
- Total Vacancies: 1 (Male)
- Educational Qualification:
- Graduate with a Diploma in Coaching from SAI, NS NIS, or any other recognized Indian/Foreign University
- OR Olympic/International Participation
- OR Dronacharya Awardee
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years (as of the last date of application)
- Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per month
2. Young Professional
- Total Vacancies: 1
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification
- OR Bachelor’s degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management (minimum 50% marks)
- OR Graduate with at least three years of work experience
- Desirable Qualification:
- Candidates who have represented India at the international level and hold a Bachelor’s degree OR
- Candidates with MBA or Post Graduation in Sports Management will be preferred.
- Age Limit: Maximum 32 years (as of the last date of application)
- Salary: ₹40,000 per month
3. Masseur-Grade-1 (Male & Female)
- Total Vacancies: 2 (1 Male, 1 Female)
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 Pass from a recognized board
- A certificate course or skill development program in Massage Therapy/Sports Masseur/Masseuse from a recognized institution.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Masseur/Masseuse.
- Age Limit: Maximum 35 years (as of the last date of application)
- Salary: ₹35,000 per month
Application Process
How to Apply Offline:
- Download the official notification and application form from sportsdeptt.chd.gov.in (available from 22nd February 2025).
- Fill in the application form completely and accurately.
- Attach self-attested copies of the required documents:
- Educational qualification certificates
- Experience certificates
- Sports achievement certificates (if applicable)
- Latest passport-size photograph
- Submit the completed application form in person or via post to:
Office of the Secretary, Chandigarh Sports Council, Hockey Stadium, Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh.
- The last date for receipt of applications is 7th March 2025 (by 5:00 PM).
- Late applications will be rejected.
Application Fees:

Selection Process
The selection will be based on:
- Scrutiny of Applications – Based on qualifications & experience.
- Interview – Only shortlisted candidates will be called.
- Final Selection – Based on performance and document verification.
Other Conditions & Important Guidelines
- Leave: Selected candidates will get 30 days leave per year on a pro-rata basis. Unused leave will not carry forward.
- Confidentiality Clause: Selected candidates cannot publish books/articles or share any official information obtained during their tenure.
- Termination Clause: Candidates can be terminated immediately if found guilty of misconduct, negligence, unauthorized absence, or any violation of employment conditions.
- Final Authority: The Chandigarh Sports Council (CSC) has the right to:
- Cancel/modify the recruitment process at any stage.
- Increase/decrease the number of vacancies.
- Disqualify any candidate without assigning a reason.
- Make the Secretary, Chandigarh Sports Council the final authority in case of disputes.
