Eligibility Criteria & Vacancy Details
1. Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – CSOLS
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi with English, OR a Master’s degree in any subject with English as a medium and Hindi as a compulsory subject in degree level.
- Additional Requirement: Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and vice versa) OR 2 years of translation experience.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years as of 1st August 2024.
- Pay Scale: ₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400/-
2. Junior Translation Officer (JTO) – AFHQ
- Qualification: Same as JTO (CSOLS).
- Additional Requirement: Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and vice versa) OR 2 years of translation experience.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years as of 1st August 2024.
- Pay Scale: ₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400/-
3. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) / Junior Translator (JT) – Various Ministries & Departments
- Qualification: Same as JTO (CSOLS).
- Additional Requirement: Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and vice versa) OR 2 years of translation experience.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years as of 1st August 2024.
- Pay Scale: ₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400/-
4. Senior Hindi Translator (SHT) / Senior Translator (ST) – Various Ministries & Departments
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Hindi or English with Hindi/English as a compulsory subject OR Master’s degree in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory subject at the degree level.
- Additional Requirement: Diploma/Certificate in Translation (Hindi to English and vice versa) OR 3 years of translation experience.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years as of 1st August 2024.
- Pay Scale: ₹44,900 - ₹1,42,400/-
📌 Note: Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

Selection Process
The selection process for SSC JHT 2024 includes the following stages:
- Paper-I (CBT Exam) – Multiple choice questions on General Hindi & General English.
- Paper-II (Descriptive Exam) – Translation and essay writing.
- Document Verification – Candidates shortlisted in Paper-II will be called for verification.
