Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as of 1st January 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 36 years (including one-time 3-year relaxation for COVID-19 missed opportunities)
- Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed 10th class (Matriculation) from a recognized board OR
- Possess an ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.
- The final qualification must be acquired by 22nd February 2025. Candidates awaiting results beyond this date are not eligible.
Medical Standards
- Candidates must meet the prescribed medical fitness standards for the applied post.

How to Apply
- Visit the official RRB/RRC website. (Only use official websites to apply.)
- Click on the “Apply Online” link.
- Register with a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Fill out the application form carefully.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph, signature, and certificates).
- Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
- Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
Application Fees
- General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹500 (₹400 will be refunded upon appearing in CBT)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Female/Minority/EBC Candidates: ₹250 (Fully refunded upon appearing in CBT)

Refunds will be processed after CBT, subject to correct banking details being provided in the application.
Modification of Applications
- Candidates can edit details in their application until 13th March 2025 by paying a ₹250 modification fee per change.
- Changes in “Create an Account” and “Chosen Railway” cannot be modified.

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Exam Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates with a scribe)
- Total Questions: 100
- General Science: 25
- Mathematics: 25
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30
- General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS – 40%
- OBC/SC/ST – 30% (PwBD may get 2% relaxation if needed.)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (Qualifying Only)
- Male Candidates:
- Carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
- Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
- Female Candidates:
- Carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
- Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
- PwBD & Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.
3. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination (ME)
- Shortlisted candidates will be called in a 1:1 ratio based on CBT and PET.
- Final selection is subject to Medical Fitness & Document Verification.

Reservations & Special Considerations
Ex-Servicemen (ExSM)
- Must provide a valid discharge or relieving certificate.
- If already employed in Group C/D under Central Govt, only age relaxation applies (reservation does not apply again).
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- Minimum 40% disability as per RPwD Act, 2016.
- Scribes allowed for eligible disabilities.
- Extra compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour allowed.
Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA)
- CCAAs trained in Railway establishments have special reserved seats.
- NCVT certificate holders get weightage in CBT score.
- CCAAs are exempted from PET but must qualify DV & Medical Examination.
