Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification & Experience
- Educational Qualification: Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Experience: At least four years of post-qualification legal practice.
- Preferred Experience: Handling court matters related to service cases, commercial contracts, vendor agreements, business alliance agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), statements of work, and data transfer agreements.
- Experience with State/Central Government Departments or UT Administrations in legal matters is desirable.

- Payment Mode: Bank Draft/Bank Pay Order in favor of “NIELIT Chandigarh”, payable at Rupnagar (Ropar), Punjab, or via POS machine available at the office.

General Instructions & Terms
- Candidates must download the prescribed application form from the official website www.nielit.gov.in/chandigarh/recruitments.
- Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria (qualifications, experience, age, etc.) before applying.
- The selection will be based on performance in the walk-in interview. The interview will assess subject knowledge (15 marks) and interpersonal skills (15 marks).
- In case of a large number of candidates, NIELIT reserves the right to conduct a shortlisting test before the interview.
- Candidates must bring original documents for verification, along with self-attested copies of the following:
- Resume and recent passport-size photograph
- 10th certificate (Date of Birth proof)
- Degree certificate(s) and mark sheets
- Experience certificate(s) indicating start and end dates
- SC/ST/PwD certificate (if applicable)
- PAN Card & Aadhaar Card
- First page of the bank passbook showing candidate’s name and account details
- Candidates will not receive any TA/DA for attending the interview.
- The contract is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project/requirement. No additional benefits such as PF, pension, gratuity, or medical facilities will be provided.
- Mere fulfilling of eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection. The final decision lies with NIELIT Chandigarh’s Executive Director.
- Selected candidates may be transferred between NIELIT Rupnagar & Extension Centre in Chandigarh as per requirements.
- Any attempt to canvass or influence officials will lead to disqualification.
- All legal disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
