Position: Technical Assistant
Number of Posts:
- Total: 11 (UR-04, EWS-01, OBC-03, SC-02, PwBD (VH backlog)-01 (UR))
Pay Level & Salary:
- Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400)
- Approximate total emoluments: ₹56,916/- per month (including allowances like DA, HRA, etc.).
Upper Age Limit:
- Maximum age: 28 years (as of 09.01.2025)

- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

Educational Qualifications:
For General Technical Assistant Posts:
- Degree Option:
- B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Applied Electronics, Physical Science, Instrumentation Technology, Data Science, or Software Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 60% marks.
- Plus 1 year of relevant work experience in the field from a recognized institute or organization.
- Alternative Qualification:
- B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) in the same fields with at least 60% marks and a 1-year full-time professional qualification in the relevant field.
For Technical Assistant (PwBD – Visual Impairment) Backlog Post:
- Diploma Option:
- Diploma in Computer/IT Engineering (3 years full-time) with at least 60% marks and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Lateral Entry Option:
- Diploma in Computer/IT Engineering (2 years full-time in case of lateral admission) with at least 60% marks and 2 years of relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities:
General Technical Assistant Roles:
- Assisting ongoing R&D projects across various disciplines, including physics, electronics, data science, and instrumentation.
- Supporting laboratory activities and technical operations.
Technical Assistant (PwBD – VH):
- Software Development: Designing, debugging, and maintaining specific software.
- Web Development: Developing and hosting websites with dynamic and static pages.
- App Development: Android and iOS app development, debugging, and testing.
- R&D Support: Assisting in the execution of ongoing research and development activities.

Selection Process
Trade Test:
- Qualifying in nature. Only those who qualify will proceed to the next stage.
Written Test:
- Objective-type multiple-choice questions conducted in English and Hindi (except for the English language section).
Exam Details:
Paper-I (Mental Ability Test):
- 50 Questions (100 Marks, 2 marks per question).
- No negative marking.
- Covers General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Solving, and Situational Judgment.
Paper-II (General Awareness & English Language):
- General Awareness: 25 Questions (75 Marks, 3 marks per question).
- English Language: 25 Questions (75 Marks, 3 marks per question).
- Negative Marking: 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Paper-III (Concerned Subject):
- 100 Questions (300 Marks, 3 marks per question).
- Negative Marking: 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Final Merit List: Based on the marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III.
