Job Overview:
The Chandigarh Administration is seeking applications for the position of Chief Commissioner, Chandigarh Right to Service Commission. This role is established under the Punjab Right to Service Act, 2011 and the Punjab Right to Service (Amendment) Act, 2014, as extended to the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Rank Requirement: Candidates must be a retired officer with the rank and status of Secretary to the Government of India.
- Term of Office: The Chief Commissioner will serve a term of five years from the date of appointment or until reaching the age of 65, whichever is earlier.
- Salary and Allowances: The salary and allowances for this position are equivalent to those provided to the State Chief Information Commissioner, in accordance with the Right to Information Act, 2005, and subsequent amendments.
